THEATRE RETREAT

Join us at our very first statewide theatre retreat. We are ecstatic to be able to offer this discounted event to our membership.

This is an opportunity to kick back, have fun, network with fellow WA thespians, get access to theatre workshops, and more.

Workshops will focus on Board Development and Fundraising. We will also have Social Hours around the camp fire and grounds featuring signature cocktails/mocktails, wine and other beverages. Enjoy indoor or outdoor swimming, the hot tub, pontoon boat ride, nature trails, and the various other camp amenities.

Admission includes 5 meals, from Friday dinner to Sunday brunch and lodging in a dorm-like cabin.

RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP

It is time for all individual and organizational members whose membership was for the 2022-2024 cycle to renew now. WSCTA memberships are for two-year periods, beginning in August of every even year and ending in July two years later.

Individuals and organizations vote for the Kaleidoscope WSCTA member awards and board elections at the general meeting. Memberships are available for organizations and individuals. Benefits of membership include: access to resources and a network of theatre artists statewide. We share best practices and resources with each other as members. Event Access to different WSCTA activities including the retreat. Ability to compete at Kaleidoscope. Promotion of your theatre - members may submit stories for us to share across social media and our newsletter.

THEATRE33 HOSTS THE NEW PENGUIN PROGJECT CHAPTER IN OUR STATE

Theatre33 out of Bellevue WA is about to start the new season of Russian-only and bilingual/English classes and production projects for youth and adults. In addition to the Introduction to Theater and Advanced Acting classes for teens and tweens, there is something special happening on the stage.

Theatre33 is the new chapter of the Penguin Project in WA and the first in the Nation to do so in a language other than English. Stuido33 Penguins will present “The Snow Queen” in Russian through this special program that empowers children with special needs through the power of theater. Come to the parent information meetings Sept 15-17 to learn about the classes and production projects. Price for the 12-week session - $625 (or $225 per month) +$50 registration fee once a year.
